The great sages and transcendentalists tell us that the nature of the soul is to be experiencing pleasure and happiness. But where is that pleasure and happiness, to be found that satisfies me completely?
Most of us have experienced feeling deep inside that something is missing in our life. We may try to fill up our emptiness in various ways—travelling, shopping, eating, keeping busy, etc. But because my nature is spiritual, no matter what we do in life, without spiritual food/sustenance, we will remain empty inside, looking for something more. Kirtan meditation is food for the soul and the more we practice we can experience inner peace, freedom from fear and anxiety, and deep happiness.
