Yoga practices: How they’re related – with Jiva Krishna das
Jiva Krishna das first came into contact with the path of yoga in 1974, but it was not until 1978 that his interest in the practice increased dramatically. He says that this was due to the wonderful influence of his teacher Jagad Guru Siddhaswarupananda Paramahamsa

Having recieved the priceless gift of meditation Jiva Krishna das feels most fortunate, and he is always keen to share the treasure of yoga wisdom whenever the opportunity arises.
He places special emphasis on the very easy practice of kirtan meditation, which can not only give a person relief from the anxieties that characterize worldly life, but it can purify ones heart and mind. Moreover as the yoga texts put it ~ kirtan gives a person a taste of the spiritual nectar for which we are always anxious.
For this week’s Thoughtful Thursday yoga experience, Jiva Krishna das will speak on a variety of yoga practices and how they are related to each other. These practices include Hatha Yoga, Jnana Yoga, Kundalini Yoga, Karma Yoga, and what the yoga texts describe as the ultimate yoga practice
