The Loneliness Epidemic: Gems of Wisdom with Gayatri
The Loneliness Epidemic is so bad, world leaders have been forced to intervene.
When politicians are staging national interventions to force us to connect with each other — and actually spending real money on the problem — you know it’s a genuine crisis.
Until recently, loneliness has also been largely underappreciated. It’s an emotional state we’ve all dwelt in at some point of our lives, and it’s so familiar that it’s tempting to overlook it as mundane amid all the other mental health worries currently being given airtime, such as depression and anxiety. Nevertheless, the world is starting to wake up to how bad the loneliness epidemic has actually become.
We explore loneliness from the yoga perspective, why do we get lonely and how we can overcome loneliness.
This great wisdom has been passed down by self-realised yoga masters since time immemorial, however, even in this modern world, this knowledge is so relevant and practical, it can be easily applied in our lives.

Questions on the Yoga System with Jayadharma Das
When one starts to look into the non-physical aspects of the yoga system it can seem somewhat confusing even overwhelming to an individual. In tonight’s talk Jayadharma das shares a very interesting answer to a student’s equally intriguing inquiry and attempts to give us a short overview of the yoga practices as he does so.
About Jayadharma das:
Jayadharma Das has been a student and practitioner of yoga philosophy and yoga lifestyle for the past 35-40 years. His individual spiritual campaign began in his very early twenties when as a young man he began to look for solutions to some concerning bad habits he had developed. Around 1980 he had the good fortune of meeting a couple of disciples of his spiritual teacher Jagad Guru Siddhaswarupananda Paramahamsa (https://wisdom.yoga/author/jagad-guru/). His schooling had began. A schooling that led to a cultivation of knowledge and spiritual practices which would change his life profoundly and continues to do so to this very day. Jayaharma das is motivated to share his understanding out of gratitude to his teacher and in an attempt to assist those who are also looking to overcome their own personal challenges.
